After a long period of work on our data architecture, we’ve achieved something we’ve been aiming for - finding the right balance between performance, cost, and scalability.
Effective immediately, data retention has been extended from 3 months to up to 3 years. Thanks to the new infrastructure and advanced data compression, we can store significantly more data without compromising application performance.
Importantly, this change is available to all users at no additional cost and without any increase in subscription pricing.
Due to previous backup policies, we have currently restored historical data for the last 11 months. Older data is not available, but from now on the system will continuously build up history to the full 3-year retention window.
In practice, this unlocks much deeper analysis - you can now compare your heat pump performance not only with the last winter season, but also with the two previous years.
We will continue to monitor the new solution in terms of performance and stability, but initial tests indicate that maintaining the full 3-year retention period should not require any reduction.
